Elat is Great. May 3rd:

Slept overnight in the mountains.

In the morning we had 7500 Honey buzzards from 08:00- 11:30. No cresteds.

In Yotvata:
Successfully twitched the incredibly oblging pectoral sandpiper.
Also, 3 Blue cheecked beaeaters

In Bahad 1 (on the way back):
-1 female White throated Robin. (part of perhaps the greatest influx ever)
-25 Pale Rock sparrow
and many, many others

Two male Lesser kestrels were hunting:


Two other Lesser Kestrals started harassing a local Long Legged Buzzard:


Over head there were 200 white storks, 60 Crane and single Eagles and steppe buzards.
In Jerusalem, one male Siberian Stonechat at the Deer Valley:

Idit lectured at Ein Gedi. I spent the morning birding in the area:
Black Redstart 8 (only females)
Collard dove 500
Namaqua Dove 5
Starling 25
Skylark 40
Indian Silvrebill 30

20 Cranes 200 White Stork and 2 Black stork migratin

At Large pond:
3 Feruginus Ducks
4 Tufted Ducks
20 Teal
1 Great white egret
40 Little stint

At the Vegitation at Junction at the entrance to Kalya
1 wood warbler, extremly late (latest being first week november), Maybe wintering
Also there 1 Great Grey shrike
